Finding the perfect pair of jeans is about to get significantly easier for American shoppers. Target and Levi Strauss & Co. have announced a major expansion of their long-standing partnership, bringing Levi’s denim to 150 additional Target stores by the end of the year. This strategic move marks a new milestone, as Levi’s products will now be available in more than 1,000 Target locations across the country, solidifying both retail giants' positions in an increasingly competitive apparel market.
The relationship between Target and Levi’s is rooted in a deep stylistic history. Fifty years ago, Target became one of the first retailers to carry Levi’s jeans, introducing the iconic denim brand to a broader mass audience in 1976. Since reintroducing the brand to Target shelves in 2011, the collaboration has evolved from offering value-driven core styles to a much wider selection, including the premium Levi’s Red Tab line and diverse lifestyle apparel.
This growth is fueled by solid sales data from 2025, a year in which Target’s denim category saw significant gains in market share. In response to this momentum, Target plans to grow its Levi’s women’s assortment by nearly 20% year-over-year in spring 2026. The upcoming lineup will pair proven best-sellers with trend-driven pieces, such as relaxed and looser leg silhouettes, updated washes, and lifestyle additions like tops and overalls. Most styles will be priced under $60, delivering the hallmark quality and durability of Levi’s with the value Target guests have come to expect.
Gena Fox, Senior Vice President of Apparel & Accessories at Target, emphasized that the partnership is crucial because guests turn to Target for the styles, brands, and value they love. According to Fox, the collaboration is successfully growing Target’s denim business by delivering exactly what shoppers want: on-trend style and exceptional quality. This sentiment is echoed by Levi’s, which views Target as a strategic partner to reach its fans wherever they choose to shop.
"Levi’s is the #1 denim brand in the world, and our evolution into a head-to-toe denim lifestyle brand is resonating with Target guests," said Heidi Manes, SVP and Managing Director of Levi’s U.S. and Canada. she added that the expansion reflects the strength of their partnership and the momentum behind Levi’s lifestyle assortment. With a shared focus on style, quality, and accessibility, Target and Levi’s continue to prove that great denim never goes out of fashion.
