MILAN — March 26, 2024 — As the technical textile industry gears up for Techtextil, the premier global fair for technical and innovative textiles in Frankfurt from April 23 to 26, Italian textile machinery companies are poised to take center stage. With over 50 Italian firms showcasing their cutting-edge technologies, the event promises to be a showcase of Italian innovation and expertise in the field.

Brussels - Textiles are an integral part of daily life, providing comfort, efficiency, and aesthetic appeal to a wide array of products, from clothing to furniture and automotive gear. However, the extensive use of textiles also poses significant environmental challenges, including increased greenhouse gas emissions and raw material consumption. Despite these obstacles, the textile industry remains a cornerstone of the European economy, employing over 1.5 million individuals and contributing significantly to the EU Single Market.

The development of innovative fibres for various technical textile applications is on the rise, with a focus on sustainability and enhanced functionality. These advancements will be spotlighted at the upcoming Techtextil 2024 exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany, from April 23-26. Among the key players in this arena is the British Textile Machinery Association (BTMA), which will be featuring over 70 niche fibre applications at the event.
